This artwork reflects my personal journey through immigration from my homeland to Armenia and then to the United States. The birds represent movement, freedom, and the search for belonging. Each one carries part of my story, memories, and hopes across borders. I used patina and textured techniques to give the surface a sense of history, like the layers of life we carry with us. The gold symbolizes resilience, and the worn texture reminds me that beauty can come from change.

My art is inspired by my Persian roots and the idea of protection and cosmic energy. This piece is based on the evil eye, a symbol used to guard against bad energy, and connects it to the beauty and mystery of the universe. The deep blues and gold details reflect the stars and skies often found in Persian poetry. Hafez once said, “From the eye of the heart, seek the light of the stars”  meaning we should look beyond the surface and find truth and beauty within. I use resin and texture to explore
